I have been working with Dan for just over a year now and I can honestly say I have been improving across all race distances ever since. I met Dan while competing against him on the Golden Trail National Series UK in 2022 and got to know him well when we teamed up at the Series Finals in Madeira that same year.

 

Dan’s coaching philosophy is one that resonates with me, his coaching mantra is athlete first and runner second. This is important for longevity in the sport as well as the ability to pivot between all terrains and race distances. Dan is an extremely positive person, his can do attitude rubs off on me and is extremely motivating during tough training blocks.

 

His expertise in human physiology & biomechanics has played a big role when trying to manage my niggles during a big training block. He is calm in his diagnosis and genuine when other professional help is required.

 

Dan is a versatile coach; having coached me to represent team UK at the Golden Trail National Series Final in 2023 which is sub-ultra racing, and then to a 7th place at The Marathon des Sables in 2024.

 

I cannot recommend Dan enough as a running coach, over any distance or terrain.
